Fighting For An Uncomfortable Prize

Is the fight worth it
Is it there, the reason
Or do we just fit like uneven pieces
Wanting to smash into place
Fighting for an uncomfortable prize

Her that I write for
Is a different definition
The desire to go on is buried
But can be found deep within us
In an uncomfortable manor

Once a time of grace
Love and joy
Stored deep within the dark
That she will not search
Leaving me to uncomfortably find

Something that is not needed
For either of us Broken Hearts
That aren't yet broken
But hanging on a thread
Tied to each other, slipping from one grasp

Holding from another, yes it changes
Once me, once her, is it clear
Not at all, at times no one holds on
It holds alone, just barely
By the off chance it stays together

Like those two puzzle pieces
That look right together
But when you glance closer
There is a flaw, a damage
Only to be repaired by unwilling hands

The hands of those who want to hold on
Me and her, not clear in the mind
For we try harder than needed
Which causes nothing but mistakes
Is there a reason, of course there is

For the satisfaction of going on is what we strive for
The reasoning is irrational
But makes all the sense
We are right for each other
But we are just not fitting

Fighting for an uncomfortable prize
For a satisfaction quite comfortable
Unless caused by rush
Which is the main reason
Is this the reason, meant to be

Could we, can we hang on longer
Of course we can
We are strong
The real question is
Do we

Do we want to keep fighting
For an uncomfortable prize
A prize that we both want
Yet shutter in fear when receiving it
This is not how it started

So let's go back
To the beginning
Where the reasoning was clear
This is what we want
Fighting for a comfortable prize

I absolutely loved it. Finally, something you've written that I can actually fully understand what you're saying. I'm pretty sure I know what you wrote it about, but if I'm not right then just let me keep believing it... :) Anyway, the point is LUVED IT.
